General Math:

Aleks: A Better State of Knowledge

This is a site that you can sign up with on a monthly basis for a fee (17.95$US/month).  It is a program to tutor math.  It is not a game, or a "edutainment software", but it is instructive, helpful and simply organised.  Children move through at their own pace.  Starts at a grade three level and offers a placement test prior to starting lessons.

Basket Math

This site has lots of math subjects for lots of challenge.  There is not a lot of distracting images.  Easiest skill level is double digit addition. 

 

Canadian Math Links

This page is from 'Living Graphs' commercial web site.  The Canadian math links page has a number of links to important Canadian math orientated sites and organisations (e.g., the Chess and Math Association).

Cool Math (preschool - 12yrs)

An amazing site with lots of math activities for the younger age set.  Also links to other math oriented sites for young children.

Cool Math (ability age 13yrs +)

Similar to the above site, only this site is aimed for older children (and parents too!).  A spectacular resource. 

Fun Brain: Numbers

This site has links to lots of short, fun math games for children of all levels. 

 

Math Dictionary

This is a very cool math dictionary which also includes animations to assist you in understandintg the mathematical term.

This is a wonderful collection of math sites for parents and children.  Many links to a large number of math resources.

The Math Forum

Here you can search the archives for questions and answers to math problems or ask your own.  From Elementary through highschool.

This site provides links to small games in the math facts like flash - cards, etc to help improve basic math facts. 

Web Math

This is an awesome site from Discovery.Com.  Here you can enter in your math problem, and Web Math will show you how to solve it.  All levels of math through highschool (and beyond).

This has some math/logic type puzzles for highly-profoundly gifted children.

Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Divistion:

ArithmAttack

This is a great little program!  It times the number of math problems that you can solve within a 60 second time frame. It allows you to set very specific levels. You can even download the program for free.  For some children the trick will be to put in the answer and then 'click' on the button quickly.

 

Math Journey

Follow a path around the world, stopping by new cities as you learn your basic math facts.
