Welcome to Michele's Who's Who Page!

Michele is a strong advocate for her own, and ultimately, other gifted children.  At present she is fighting for the establishment of a gifted secondary program in her school board. She is a frequent poster on our message board who is very helpful to all parents who post.  She is also a physician.

She has three identified gifted children aged 15, 14, and 11.  She has been homeschooling her 11 year old daughter since she was 8 at her request and because there are no gifted elementary programs in her school board.

Michele has won a Tribunal case for her son.  You can read more about that by clicking HERE.  Because of her involvement, she has extensive knowledge of testing and identification issues.  She is preparing for a second Tribunal on the issue of placement that will (again hopefully!) occur sometime this spring.  She has recent personal experience as a member of a special education appeal board, and thus has knowledge of the process from both sides now.  She is also working on a submission to the Ontario Human Rights Commission regarding the discrimination faced by gifted students within the educational system.

She is always willing, and in fact, intensely interested in e-mail correspondence with any parents who are in the midst of an identification or placement dispute because of her strong belief that helping gifted children achieve to their potential helps our entire society.  She freely publishes her e-mail address as:
