In this page of our site, you will find information regarding your local school board, who to contact regarding special education at the board, and which schools offer gifted programs, the nature of these programs, and where to locate them.
If the testing required to enter the program is different than that set out on our 'Testing and Assessment' page, it will be explained as required.
As of September, we are just contacting each of these school boards in turn and should hope to have information for each school board soon. Thank you for you patience. If you do have a good piece of information regarding these boards please contact us with this information.
The school boards are listed individually under one of six headings. These heading correspond to the general region in which the school boards are located. They are: 1) Barrie, 2) London, 3) North Bay and Sudbury, 4) Ottawa, 5) Thunder Bay, and 6) Toronto.

'The Ministry of Education coordinates the acctivities of its six district offices located throughout Ontario. Some of their major functions includes: monitor program implementation in the elementary/secondary education system; clarify ministry policies and programs to the elementary/secondary education community; ensure field input in the development of ministry policies; and report on the effectiveness of the school system.'
