Welcome to Thea's Art Work Page.

Welcome to my oldest daughter's art work page.  I hope to add some more of her current work soon!

Meet the Artist:

The following were completed when Thea was 4 years and 10 months old.

Here is a picture of Thea with her two best friends and Mommy.  (Thea is on the far left).

This is a picture of a house with Mommy and Thea standing beside it.

Thea's self portrait.  She is surrounded by all of the things she loves most in this world ;)

My daughter recently saw the movie, Spirit (a movie about a horse).  When she came back from the show, she was doodling around.  Within a few seconds she rapidly produced the above drawing, making the outline of the horse head and mane with two movements, followed by the cute face.  She completed this picture at 4 years, 4 months.

Here is the rough draft of a butterfly that my daughter drew before she was going to paint it. This was completed when she was 4 years and 2 months.

This picture was created when Thea was 3 years and 9 months old.  She spelled her brother's name as 'robt' and put down , 'I love you'.  Her brother's favourate color is orange, and hence the orange flowers.

Drawn September 8th, 2001 by Thea at 3 years nine months.

For an explanation:  The sun is in the top left.  It has a 'sun spot in it, mommy'.  There are two flowers. One is a 'rose because it has thorns' (the right one) and the other is a sunflower.  Mommy has a forehead (the circle between my two eyes), a small neck, two breasts (self evident ;), a heart (the circle in the middle of my chest), a belly-button, and some 'blood under my skin' (the squiggles in my abdomen).  I also seem to have quite a few fingers (smile).  My dd had a hard time with the clouds as she couldn't draw in white, so she drew them outlined in pink, surrounded by the blue sky.

I love this picture!  Only in a child's drawing, does life exist floating between the green grass, and the bright blue sky.

"Mommy here's a picture of you with an earing.'

Hmm...don't know if I am quite as happy about the content of this particular picture, but seeing as I must having been having one of those 'bad hair days', it really did depict my mood quite adequately.  She certainly made me laugh with this one....
